Dennis Dies Das

When you immerse yourself in Dennis Dies Das’s music, you’re taken on a journey through Cologne’s nightlife. It leads from one park bench to the next, from one kiosk to another, or through techno raves until the early morning hours.

Influences from techno and hip-hop of the ’90s and ’00s blend into a unique soundscape. As early as 2017 with “Alle wieder Techno” and in 2018 with “Metro,” Dennis was a pioneer in this sound long before it became mainstream years later.

Some of his tracks are created in collaboration with his longtime school friend Sascha Urlaub, who also accompanies Dennis at the DJ booth during performances. Dennis finds inspiration not only in electro icons like David Guetta, but in everything that is aesthetically appealing: places, clothes, video games, or movies. If you listen closely, you’ll repeatedly discover pop culture references in his lyrics.

This is particularly evident in his current tracks: In early 2025, Dennis tapped into the aesthetic of the early internet era with a Belalim remix, somewhere between Netlog nostalgia and 2000s references.
“Du bist ein HS,” featuring Mo Douzi, reached the Top 3 on the TikTok charts and made Dennis’s sound go viral. This was followed in the summer by the track “Was ich will bist du” with Loona—the ’90s legend behind hits like “Bailando” and “Vamos a la Playa.” At the end of 2025, “Sonnenlicht” was released, a tribute to Grub Tekkan that once again highlights Dennis’s versatile, genre-spanning sound.
